What should I wear?
If you choose a Transilvania Trip which takes place in
the summer, you are covered if you pack light clothes and
a jacket. However, if you choose one of the Halloween
tours, we recommend packing warm clothes since the weather
is very capricious in the autumn. Beside the regular
clothes shops, in Transilvania you can find popular
craftsmen selling hand made traditional items and
clothing. You might not wear a traditional romanian blouse
("ie" in our language) at home, but it can be an amazing
souvenir.
What are the main attractions included in the tour?
The perfect Transilvania Trip includes a visit to Bran
Castle, also known as Dracula's  Castle because of Bram
Stoker's novel. Even though it's not Dracula's actual
home, Bran remains one of the most impressive castles in
Romania and one of the most visited landmarks in our
country. Another amazing location, also included in our
itineraries, is the Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara. When
you arrive here, you will feel like you've gone back in
time. Sighisoara Citadel is the best preserved and still
inhabited medieval citadel in Europe. Moreover, Sighisoara
is the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. Nowadays, you can
enjoy a delicious meal in a restaurant called "Casa Vlad
Dracul" ("Vlad Dracul" House). The name is not
coincidental, since the house where Vlad the Impaler was
born used to be in that exact place.
Since our tours focus mainly on the legend of Count
Dracula, the Transilvania Trip  also
includes several other locations tied to the infamous
ruler. One of these is Snagov Monastery, where Vlad the
Impaler was supposedly buried after his assassination. The
monastery is situated on an island in the middle of a
lake. Another highlight is Poienari Citadel, built
according to Vlad the Impaler's wishes. Get ready for some
physical effort - in order to reach the citadel, you have
to climb over 1000 stairs.
